I'm A WOMAN, A 20YR OLD WOMAN

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happppyyyy Birrrthhhhdaaayy!
It is also PI DAY! 3.14! You know you're excited!
Also hppy birthday to my birthday mate! ALBERT Einstein! Yeah, I know I have the best Birthday EVER!

Hehe, so if you haven't guessed, its my birthday! Im already living on clouds from earlier this week so I'm pretty excited! Cool thing about college is my birthday is during spring break, so NO School! I actually didn't have much planned so just went along with anything.

At midnight, i skyped with my two Best-Friends, Yinka & Omotayo and as tradition follows i danced to my birthday song!

Wizkid-What u wanna do! If you haven't heard it before i suggest you look it up, its great! gets you really hyped up haha.

As for the rest of the day, i had to missions, Pie and Honey Bread! Pie for Pi day! Honey bread because its HONEY BREAD! And if you remember from my times in korea I'm pretty addicted and there's a Cafe been in Nyc!

First i had lunch with my Usher's ministry leader from church who works in the city and I got my pie!  Then i met up with my cousin Bunmi, who goes to schooling the city and went on adventure that included visiting sites, walking from one end to the other East-west looking for vintage stores. At one point we ended up in chinatown, and finally ended the night with Honey Bread!
Key Lime Pie

High Line Park

Honey bread makes me so happy! Nothing beats the one in korea though! Since it not summer they only had the whipped cream so no ice-cream honey bread, and it wasn't warm like it normally is :(

The best part of my birthday were all the people that reached out to me. I think what was great about this birthday despite not having something big planned was how at peace with life i was and how this past year and half has just been so amazing. The places i have been, the experiences i have had and the the great people i have met! It was really nice that all my closest friends from korea all posted pics of memories we shared!

Yinkadoodle

 Ruby and Lisanee from Amsterdam

Ga Young and Yumi from my KUBA group

Minji and jiyeon who are currently studying abroad at GW!

Hyunjoo ssi

Alix ssi and Matt 'JTTWB' Reiber from school

There were others, thank you soo much you guys! Love you all

Hope my Twenties are even greater than my Teens :)

-Peace and Love

Adventures of Summer 2014

Hola!

As some of you may have already seen on Facebook, I GOT IN! okay back-track. For the past three years of college, I have had the dream of participating in a Medical/Engineering summer program abroad. One of the programs I am so passionate about is the Engineering World Health(EWH) Summer Institute Program. For three years, I have downloaded the annual applications, met and spoke with representatives about the program.

During Fall semester, I began thinking of which programs i would apply to. Before leaving korea i had decided that i would be more fearless and just go for things starting with applying to any and whatever summer program despite what the GPA/ qualifications may say. Somewhere along the way I got discouraged and only applied to one and was going to find research with a faculty professor if it didn't work out.  I spent my first few days in Amsterdam working so hard on my application and unfourtunately i didn't get accepted. Duh!

There was something else planned for me i guess ;)!

I am on the E-Board for Biomedical Engineering Society at GW and because of my knowledge and passion for the EWH's mission, I was asked to attend a meeting with the current CEO of EWH! It was so great, i got to learn more about the organization, the summer program, and ask all the questions i had. The CEO, is an amazing Woman, and she really encouraged me to apply, mind you, this was about 2 or 1 1/2 week before the application was due. My friends who were also at the meeting, encouraged me to apply, as well as my advisor so I did!

I just finished praying this morning and checked my email and saw one from EWH, and the first line was CONGRATULATIONS!

Not only was i accepted but i was giving financial aid and accepted to the country of my choice, Nicaragua.

Big things are happening in my life and I only have God to thank and all my wonderful friends and family, who listen to me talk about every dream every plan, my vacation bucket list, my crazy unfiltered life goals( United Nations Im looking at you o_0)! Thank You all for the support and encouragement.

As I said on fb, "Yes, No matter where you come from you Dreams are Valid! BUT With God All things are Possible, Even when man says No or that there is no way!"

Best 4-days before my birthday Present!

Im walking on sunshine whoo-oooh

-Toodles :)
